On these dark, cold days our team have been loving the festive menu from our local coffee shop! This has inspired us to put together our own range of festive hot drink fragrances which you could use in your candles and melts. Some of these fragrances can simply be used on their own or as part of a unique blend! We also offer free CLP for all custom blends which are created using our fragrance oils. As an environmentally conscious company, we are constantly looking for new ways to improve our environmental footprint. During Summer 2018, we embarked on a new project in order to tackle our single-waste plastic consumption. Whilst our previous plastic bottles were already fully recyclable, our new aluminium bottles are more widely recyclable. As we also ship both domestically and internationally across the EU, we know that upgrading to aluminium bottles is going to be much easier for our customers. The first stage of this project commenced on the 11th December, 2018, with the 50ml sizes being discontinued in our Escentscia Fragrance Oil Range. This size has been replaced with a 20ml size (which is great for testing purposes) and a 75ml size. Our US Style Fragrance Oil Range also updated to this new format on 17th December, 2018. For the last two weeks, our team have been carrying out two projects in our local area with the local Rainbows and Brownies group! The 39 children loved decorating their own tart burners and making their own scented wax melts and tealights for their family as Christmas presents! Not only did the children have a great time, they also developed new skills including developing their confidence and abilities whilst also gaining life skills. We have now launched our hand painted Santa Tealight Holders, which are available just for Christmas! These holders would look fantastic in a gift set, or by themselves sat on your candle stall and in your customer's ho... ho... homes!  The santa is 90mm high and 70mm wide at its widest and is supplied with its own safety label already attached.

Introduction: For many candle makers, the cold-water bath method is a great way to increase efficiency when making wax tarts/melts and moulded candles. Traditional cooling methods may take several hours before a candle/melt can be released from its mould however, by using the cold-water bath method, this can be greatly reduced to around 10-15 minutes (depending on your mould.) The cold-water bath method also enhances the finish of your candle or melts and helps to create a much glossier finish! Our other candle making guides/tips can be found here! Method: Once you have poured your candle or wax melt, wait for the candle or melt to develop a thick skin; the length of time that this take depends on the size of your candle/melt, your pouring temperature, water temperature, and your mould.  Once this has happened and your poured candle wax is no longer molten, (yet still squidgy to the touch) fill a bucket or container with cold water.  Submerge your candle or melt completel

We take great pride in helping our local area and have been supporting charities and clubs since the company was founded, in 2004. Our work in the local area continues to develop today. Keeping Active: We believe that it is essential for children to have access to sporting opportunities so that they can develop their confidence, abilities, and gain life-skills. Currently, we sponsor the Hull Zingari Cricket Club. We have sponsored the junior team for over 10 years and continue to work closely with the club. Hull Zingari Cricket Club was founded in 1896 and remains the oldest, and one of the largest, cricket clubs in the area. They have played on their present ground since 1910 and our sponsorship provides the club with new equipment for the young team members. For the safety of staff in the warehouse, we have decided to close for 1 day while it is installed.  Orders placed up until 2pm on Thursday, 9th August will be despatched as normal.  Orders placed after that time will be despatched on Monday, 13th August.

Golden Wax 494 is a speciality tart wax and is one of our bestselling waxes! It is designed specifically for wax tarts/melts. This 100% natural soy wax has great characteristics including excellent scent throw, easy mould release, and exhibits vibrant colours. We have also found that the Golden Wax 494 has a beautiful smooth frost-free appearance! Above you can see an image of some wax tarts which our research and development team have made using the Golden Wax 494! Characteristics: Max Fragrance Load: 10% Melting Temperature: 49-52C Pouring Temperature: 60-70C (Many of our customers find optimum results when pouring at 60C, but this is personal preference) Dye: Inpex SD Dye is most suitable (Mix at 1-2g dye per 100g wax, depending on the shade you wish to achieve) Moulds: Golden Wax 494 is a natural soy wax developed specifically for use in making tart melts. Inpex has become renowned across the UK and EU for the quality of their candle wax dyes. Inpex’s success is due to their consistent reliability and wide colour range. Currently, we stock a total of 45 Inpex dyes and we will add more stock colours as they become available. This is broken down into 32 colours in the Inpex Deep Dye range, 8 colours in the Inpex SD Dye range, 4 colours in the Inpex Fluorescent Dye range, and Inpex Whitener. Inpex Deep Dye: Our most popular candle dye range is the Inpex Deep Dye range. This is the range we recommend using when making candles using paraffin wax. The Inpex Deep dye is paraffin based and we recommend using a ratio of 1g of dye to 100g of wax. The melting point of the dye is 65°C. Due to the much wider colour range available, some of our customers do choose to purchase this wax for use with natural candle waxes. It is important to note that using the Inpex Deep Dye in natural wax will result in a much more pastel effect. For natural waxe

Pillar candles can be fantastic statement pieces and gifts. However, unlike container candles, they are not designed to burn a full diameter. Instead, they are designed to leave a small tunnel around the outside of the candle, which then burns down as the candle is used. Pillar candles also have a much longer burn time than other types of candles and they can also be a unique selling point for your candle business! Another benefit of pillar candles is that the moulds can be re-used many times - meaning they are both environmentally friendly and more cost effective! This guide will make one 75 x 100mm pillar candle. This candle will have a burn time of over 120 hours! Wooden wicks can be a fantastic alternative to traditional cotton candle wicks. One of the advantages of using a wooden wick is that common problems with cotton wicks (such as mushrooming) are not applicable to wooden wicks. Another benefit of wooden wick candles is that since wooden wicks are rigid they require no support from a wick centering tool . This means that set-up is super simple, requiring only setting them in the wick sustainer and placing them in the container with a glue dot. Candles made with a natural wood wick are enhanced with the soothing fragrance of burning wood combined with the crackling sound of a wood fire.
