Bioglitter®, sometimes referred to as ecoglitter, is the newest product available on our website and is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic based glitter. Bioglitter® has been developed to tackle the part of micro-plastic pollution created by glitter and is sustainably based on biodegradable film made from plant derived renewable materials (primarily eucalyptus) and is sourced from responsibly managed plantations.
Our Bioglitter® is cosmetic grade, naturally bio-degradable, suitable for vegans, has never been tested on animals, and is allergen free. Bioglitter® is physically 30-40% softer than traditional polyester glitter. We are an officially accredited Bioglitter® licensee, and our Bioglitter® is 200 microns in size (008 Hex.)

Please note we do not recommend adding Bioglitter® to areas of wax which will encounter a candle wick or a candle wick’s burn pool.
Decorating Candle Containers/Packaging:
One way in which BioGlitter® can be used is to decorate the outside of candle containers! This is a fantastic way to personalise your products and some customers even glitter their jars in a colour which matches their fragrance!
As shown above, simply apply a ring of masking tape to create a clean-edge and then apply a layer of craft glue to the area which you wish to cover. Whilst still wet, use a brush or sprinkle over the glitter onto the glue and leave to dry. Once dry, simply peel off the masking tape for a fabulous finish!
Candle Wax Melts/Tarts
The most popular way to use Bioglitter® in candle making is by decorating wax melts and tarts with it! From snap bars and wax brittle to deli pots and scoopable wax, Bioglitter® is a wonderful and eye-catching addition to your wax melts!
Each candle maker has their own preferred technique of applying Bioglitter® however the most common method is to wait until your wax melt is entirely set before sprinkling or brushing the glitter onto the surface of your melts.
Decorating Pillar Candles:
Glitter Pillar Candles are a very popular trend currently and are very simple to make! You may choose to glitter one section of the pillar candle or alternatively cover the entire candle!
