  Lilial Update – 01/03/2022:  As of September 2019, Escentscia began to remove lilial and lyral from our fragrances at our request in advance of reclassification changes. Since this time, our customers who signed up to newsletters have been notified via email whenever a fragrance oil has been tweaked to remove lilial or lyral, or where there have been changes to fragrance oil documentation.  From today, home fragrance products containing more than 0.3% lilial in the finished product cannot be sold to the public. Home fragrance products which contain less than 0.3% lilial in the finished product are not affected and can still be sold.  Very few of our fragrances contained lilial at a high enough percentage to trigger 0.3% in the finished product and those that did were the first fragrances to be tweaked when the reworks began in 2019.  Despite this, we wanted to go further, and we are happy to announce that all of the fragrance oils on the 4Candles website are n...

As an environmentally conscious company, in December 2018 we embarked on a new project in order to tackle our single-waste plastic consumption. This project, among other things, tackled our previous plastic fragrance oil bottles being replaced with new eco-friendly aluminium bottles. However, we have received some constructive feedback from our customers regarding the new aluminium bottles about it being hard to open the lids. We have therefore stopped using the 75ml and 170ml aluminium bottles. These two sizes have now been replaced by 60ml and 150ml glass alternatives. These can be seen in the image above. The new glass bottles were designed with the feedback from our customers and the advantageous elements of the glass bottles, such as having child-safe caps and being easily recycled. By changing to a glass alternative, we hope to have resolved the issue that has been outlined whilst still minimising the impact we have on the environment. We do still use the 600ml alum...

Escentscia hav e rebranded their ranges and tweaked the formulas. Ahead of changes to fragrance legislation, such as the reclassification of lilial, Escentscia have begun to implement changes ahead of time . These changes are very small and the scent of the fragrances and how they perform in your candles/melts has not changed in any way. Testing is not required. Escentscia Original fragrance oil range has now been rebranded to Prime Range. Prime Range fragrances are designed to be used as a strong single scent. They can be used on their own or together for your own unique blend.  Escentscia have also rebranded the Escentscia US Style fragrance oil range to Style Range. All our fragrance oils are formulated in the EU by Escentscia  and are all suitable for vegans, not tested on animals, and are paraben and sulphate free. But do you know the difference between our Escentscia Prime and Escentscia Style Range of fragrance oils? The first difference between our two ranges is that our Escentscia Prime range tends to be singular fragrances (such as Chocolate and a separate Orange.) Our Escentscia Style range however tends to be blends of fragrances (such as a combined Chocolate Orange). Whilst any of our fragrances can be blended together, we have formulated the Escentscia Prime Range as singular fragrances to allow you to blend and create your own unique and bespoke fragrances!
