Introduction: For many candle makers, the cold-water bath method is a great way to increase efficiency when making wax tarts/melts and moulded candles. Traditional cooling methods may take several hours before a candle/melt can be released from its mould however, by using the cold-water bath method, this can be greatly reduced to around 10-15 minutes (depending on your mould.) The cold-water bath method also enhances the finish of your candle or melts and helps to create a much glossier finish! Our other candle making guides/tips can be found here! Golden Wax 494 is a speciality tart wax and is one of our bestselling waxes! It is designed specifically for wax tarts/melts. This 100% natural soy wax has great characteristics including excellent scent throw, easy mould release, and exhibits vibrant colours. We have also found that the Golden Wax 494 has a beautiful smooth frost-free appearance! Characteristics: Max Fragrance Load: 10% Melting Temperature: 49-52C Pouring Temperature: 60-70C (Many of our customers find optimum results when pouring at 60C, but this is personal preference) Dye: Inpex SD Dye is most suitable (Mix at 1-2g dye per 100g wax, depending on the shade you wish to achieve) Moulds: Golden Wax 494 is a natural soy wax developed specifically for use in making tart melts. Introduction:  The Chandler Grey Pro Container wax is a creamy and smooth one-fill container wax which boasts a smooth surface, excellent container adhesion, and a powerful scent throw. It's low melting point (40-44C) also easily allows a full melt pool, when wicked correctly. Container and pillar candle making wax is very different; container wax is made to adhere, whilst pillar wax has been made to contract for easy mould release. Characteristics: Max Fragrance Load:  8% Melting Temperature: 40-44C Pouring Temperature: As low as possible, ideally around 60C Dye: Inpex Deep Dye is most suitable (mixed at 1g dye per 100g wax) Wicking:  For the Chandler Grey Pro Container wax, we recommend testing the WickWell Cotton Core and Wedo LX wicks.
