We will be closing on Thursday, 19th December 2019 for the Christmas break. All orders placed before 12pm on the 19th December will be dispatched. At 4Candles, we take our commitment to the environment and corporate social responsibility seriously. We are continuously looking for ways to maintain the high-quality standards that our customers expect whilst minimising the impact we make on the environment. Over the last two months, we have been extensively trialling an eco-friendlier packaging solution – as many of our customers will know upon receiving their orders. Previously, we used branded plastic air bags to secure items within your order however we have now moved to a paper solution. Whilst the previous plastic solution was recyclable, the paper alternative has many eco-friendly advantages. The paper packaging is made from recycled material, supports renewable forestry, and is more widely recyclable. In addition to this, the paper packaging can be re-used when fulfilling your own orders and is fully compostable! We will be closing tomorrow (18th April) at 4pm for the Easter bank holiday break. All orders placed before 2pm tomorrow will be despatched. Any orders which are placed once we are closed will not be despatched until we re-open on Tuesday, 23rd April. We wish all of our customers a lovely bank holiday weekend! 🐰

As an environmentally conscious company, we are constantly looking for new ways to improve our environmental footprint. During Summer 2018, we embarked on a new project in order to tackle our single-waste plastic consumption. Whilst our previous plastic bottles were already fully recyclable, our new aluminium bottles are more widely recyclable. As we also ship both domestically and internationally across the EU, we know that upgrading to aluminium bottles is going to be much easier for our customers. The first stage of this project commenced on the 11th December, 2018, with the 50ml sizes being discontinued in our Escentscia Fragrance Oil Range. This size has been replaced with a 20ml size (which is great for testing purposes) and a 75ml size. Our US Style Fragrance Oil Range also updated to this new format on 17th December, 2018. For the last two weeks, our team have been carrying out two projects in our local area with the local Rainbows and Brownies group! The 39 children loved decorating their own tart burners and making their own scented wax melts and tealights for their family as Christmas presents! Not only did the children have a great time, they also developed new skills including developing their confidence and abilities whilst also gaining life skills. Read about our Charity Work here.  Tealights: Using our Chandler Grey Blended Wax, Rust Red Inpex Deep Dye, and Wedo TL18 tealight wicks, the Brownies, aged 8-9, made 240 tealights! We take great pride in helping our local area and have been supporting charities and clubs since the company was founded, in 2004. Our work in the local area continues to develop today. Keeping Active: We believe that it is essential for children to have access to sporting opportunities so that they can develop their confidence, abilities, and gain life-skills. Currently, we sponsor the Hull Zingari Cricket Club. We have sponsored the junior team for over 10 years and continue to work closely with the club. Hull Zingari Cricket Club was founded in 1896 and remains the oldest, and one of the largest, cricket clubs in the area. They have played on their present ground since 1910 and our sponsorship provides the club with new equipment for the young team members. We will be closed on Friday, 10th August 2018.  Due to ever increasing numbers of orders, we need to install a new packing line. For the safety of staff in the warehouse, we have decided to close for 1 day while it is installed.  Orders placed up until 2pm on Thursday, 9th August will be despatched as normal.  Orders placed after that time will be despatched on Monday, 13th August.
