Inpex has become renowned across the UK and EU for the quality of their candle wax dyes. Inpex’s success is due to their consistent reliability and wide colour range. Currently, we stock a total of 45 Inpex dyes and we will add more stock colours as they become available. This is broken down into 32 colours in the Inpex Deep Dye range, 8 colours in the Inpex SD Dye range, 4 colours in the Inpex Fluorescent Dye range, and Inpex Whitener.
Inpex Deep Dye:
Our most popular candle dye range is the Inpex Deep Dye range. This is the range we recommend using when making candles using paraffin wax. The Inpex Deep dye is paraffin based and we recommend using a ratio of 1g of dye to 100g of wax. The melting point of the dye is 65°C. Due to the much wider colour range available, some of our customers do choose to purchase this wax for use with natural candle waxes. It is important to note that using the Inpex Deep Dye in natural wax will result in a much more pastel effect. For natural waxes, the Inpex SD Dye is much more suitable.
Inpex SD Dye:
The SD dye is for use in natural wax. It is available in flake format, in multiples of 20g's. We recommend using this at a ratio of 1-2g of dye per 100g of wax. The more dye you use, the deeper the colour. Whilst less choice is available in the Inpex SD, the colours available can be mixed to create your own unique shades and colours! As natural waxes are a natural product, they are well known to be much more difficult to colour and natural waxes will not give a rich deep colour like paraffin wax does. Some natural wax will frost over leaving a white residue. Always test the wax you are using. The melting point of the Inpex SD dye varies with each colour. Red Inpex SD Dye has the highest melt point of 90°C.
Inpex Fluorescent Dye:
Inpex Fluorescent Dye is our most vivacious range! The Inpex Deep dye is paraffin based and we recommend using a ratio of 1g of dye to 100g of wax. Please note that whilst this dye is very vibrant this dye does not glow in the dark.
Inpex Whitener:
Inpex Whitener is used to whiten opaque white wax such as the Chandler Grey PRO Pillar, 280P, or Blended paraffin wax for an extra white and clean looking candle. Available in multiples of 20g, mix at 0.5g to 1g of dye per 100g of wax. The Whitener Dye will not work very well with cream coloured wax such as the Chandler Grey PRO Container Wax. However, please note that using the Inpex Whitener candle dye may result in the need for a larger wick than normal.
