Many of our customers will have concerns due to the Coronavirus outbreak and this blog post is designed to outline the steps which we are taking to ensure the wellbeing of our customers and employees.
This page will be updated regularly – as required. If you would like to keep updated, please join our Newsletter or if you have any specific queries contact our friendly Helpdesk team for further guidance.
UPDATE: 24TH MARCH 2020
We are still open and dispatching orders in our usual timely
way.
All our office staff have either been furloughed or are working from home. The Helpdesk telephone line is still being operated and answered during working hours.
As long as our customers still want to make candles we will
still keep supplying them.
What We Are Doing
We are closely following the latest government advice. We want to assure you that safety is our number one priority. Our employees have been thoroughly briefed on new internal measures including using less congested working stations, increased hand washing, and regular cleaning of communal and high-traffic areas using anti-bacterial cleaning products.
Additionally, we are no longer allowing visitors to enter our offices or warehouse. This includes a ban on customers coming to collect their orders. If you are a customer who previously collected from our premises, please contact us to discuss alternative delivery methods.
We have had a big increase in sales which we did not expect but we have still maintained our quick turnaround and delivery times. You can be assured that at this time we are very well stocked on almost all products and there is no problem with our supply chain. The Golden Wax 494 is currently out of stock due to a surge in demand but this will be restocked on the 11th May 2020. We are monitoring the situation and we will keep you informed.
If You Are Self-Isolating
Should any of our customers be self-isolating, we would ask that you advise us of this via email after placing your order. It will then be possible for us to liaise with the relevant courier and find a solution which ensures delivery is successful but also ensures safety for all individuals. The courier drivers are no longer asking for you to sign their scanners so you can request that the delivery driver leaves your parcel outside your door and steps back a safe distance while you collect your order.
In other cases, your parcel may be taken to a local pick-up shop for a friend/family member who is not self-isolating to collect on your behalf.
Alternatively, you can request your parcel to be delivered to a safe place by following the instructions in the tracking information sent by the delivery courier via email or SMS text message.
UK Deliveries
Please note that none of our UK orders are currently being affected by the Coronavirus so you will not see any change in our service or lead times.Couriers will no longer ask customers to sign their scanner and instead the drivers will sign it on your behalf once delivery has been successful.
Additionally, Parcelforce have advised us that in the future there may be slight delays depending upon the situation at that moment in time. We will keep you updated when – and if – that becomes the case. Currently this is not the case and deliveries are running as usual.
A statement from DPD, DHL, Parcelforce and Royal Mail can all be found below relating to COVID-19.
European Deliveries
We recognise that various EU countries are currently subjected to numerous measures designed to combat the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, we have been advised by our couriers that delays to usual delivery times are expected in some countries. In some rare cases, parcels may be held in the system. Any customer who is affected by this please contact our Helpdesk team. Your parcels are monitored by us, so we should see the problem before you do and contact you.
